Inspired by Issey Miyake and Egon Schiele, this project explores structure, movement, and intentional design.

I wanted to challenge my OCD tendencies by designing for a ‘messy’ muse, focusing on how clothes shift, wrap around the body on a night out, and in turn create interactions between people. My aim was to create a garment that balances the discipline with expressionism.

This approach reflects the expressive intensity of Egon Schiele’s work, contrasted with the precision and order found in Issey Miyake’s designs. I used the structured repetitive knitwear patterns and contrasted it with ‘messier’ designs to convey this.
